The annual Fash Factor competition was sponsored by BlackBerry. I was briefed to build a microsite to promote the collaboration and inspire users to get creative by designing their own phone cover. The winning entry would win the BlackBerry Z10 in their bespoke designer cover. Liberty of London came on board to not only help judge, but also provided use of their extensive & iconic fabric library.
Our team decided to use a Facebook login to further promote the campaign. Users were able to share their final design directly to their Facebook wall and challenge their friends to enter too.
I designed the controls for the workspace on the phone screen with the back of the phone as the main canvas. Users were able to upload images, select Liberty fabric designs as well as stickers to embellish their Blackberry phone cover.
On the day of the auditions we built a live news feed which Grazia staff; writers and photographers would upload to using a specific twitter #tag.
There of course was a #FASHFACTOR promoted for people to chat and be notified of relevant information.
